Prior to San Diego, Vasgersian worked in the Milwaukee Brewers broadcast booth for five seasons after spending six years in the Minor Leagues. An accomplished broadcaster on the national level, Vasgersian enjoyed a full-time profile with FOX Sports that included play-by-play with FOX Baseball Saturday and FOX NFL Sunday. Each of the past three football seasons have culminated with Matt's role with the prestigious BCS on FOX, calling the action for the FedEx Orange Bowl and the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

Vasgersian also enjoys a national role with NBC Sports as a member of their award-winning Olympic Broadcast team, as he anchored daily studio coverage of the XXIX 2008 Beijing Games. Vasgersian moved on to Double-A El Paso (Brewers) in 1993-94, Triple-A Syracuse (Toronto Blue Jays) in 1995 and Triple-A Tucson (Houston Astros) in 1996. During the 1995 season, he handled play-by-play on ESPN2's minor league game-of-the-week, "Baseball Across America."

The versatile 41-year-old also lists among his national credits play-by-play with FOX Sports Net's "Baseball Thursday" and FX's "Baseball Saturday Night"; a nightly sports trivia show "Sports Geniuses" on FOX Sports Net; "Celebrity Blackjack" on GSN, and three seasons teaming with NFL Hall-of-Famer Lawrence Taylor on FX's "Toughman World Championship Series." From 2004-06, Vasgersian returned to his alma mater, handling play-by-play for USC Trojans Basketball on FSN West.
